I’M BACK!!!

Hi guys!

I am just going to start by apologising for being away and not writing as much! I have had a lot on my plate during these past 6 months and I couldn’t find any time to blog but I am back with a lot of ideas for my blog so don’t you worry!

I have been thinking a lot recently about possibly starting a vlogging channel because I find it difficult to find time to writing but i will still plan to keep my blog going but it will be an occasional thing.

My vlogging channel will be a bit different, it will also be an occasional thing because I only plan on videoing when I’m travelling because I want it to be a travel vlogging channel.. if that makes sense?

Also, because I finish college soon, I am applying for jobs with travel companies, I want to be a holiday rep, so hopefully I will get accepted for any one of the jobs I have applied for and I will get to go abroad and see other parts of the world so I can use the channel to take you along with me and maybe it will form into something else, you never know what the future holds when it hasn’t happened 🙂

If anyone has any ideas they would like me to write about, please let me know through my Twitter or Instagram, they are both ‘amyxroseblog’

Please let me know if you like the idea of me making a vlogging channel and if you would subscribe to it.

Don’t worry, I haven’t died..

Hi everyone,

I am very sorry that I haven’t updated in a while!

I have been extremely busy with a lot of stuff which has made me forget to post on here.

College work has been stacking up these past few weeks and I’ve been trying to get it done because I went away last Friday to England for a week to visit my 2 best friends- I could have taken my laptop, WHICH I DID, but I slept on the train the whole way there and I didn’t want to bring out my laptop when I was meant to be visiting my friends so..

My auntie came up to visit a week before that and we done a lot together and were out most of the time as well.

I have also been trying to sort out the insurance for my holiday with my mum which has been quite confusing.

Planning everything for moving out and sorting out my money has been on my mind a lot as well so if I tried to type anything, I would forget what I needed to do.

I AM SO BUSY THIS YEAR! IT’S UNBELIVABLE BUT REALLY EXCITING 😀

Even though I won’t be posting that much this month, May, June and July are going to be really exciting months with lots of exciting things to post about 🙂

Thank you so much for understanding 🙂

What’s in my College bag?

Currently, my bag for college is full of junk: broken pens, bits of paper, sweet wrappers, everything! But these are the main things that I always have in my bag.

IMG_0936

I also use my laptop for doing my blog posts and replying to emails so while I’m thinking of ideas for a blog post, I can carry on doing my college work.

IMG_093712

My 2 favourite colours- Pink and Purple! No other colours! Even though I have a folder and note pads, I am certainly not an organised person but I definitely need to be!

IMG_09381

I love my mini diary and calculator! ❤ Must be thinking ‘why have you got a calculator for Travel and Tourism?’ Costing for my different classes, it gives me such a migraine! I HATE MATHS!

I also have toiletries in my bag but I didn’t feel that was necessary to put in.

QOTD- What’s in your school/college/work bag?

Review: The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I may be one or the only person on the planet to watch the film before reading the book because before, I was never really a big book reader, I wasn’t a fan of sitting a reading over watching a film.

I have seen both the Maze Runner and the Scorch Trails and I loved them both equally, I have to say they are my favourite films by far! As well as The Hunger Games series!

One day I just decided to buy a book and just so happened to see the Maze Runner sitting on a shelf staring into my soul and telling my telepathically to read it! (If anyone has read the book, you’ll get the tiny pun that I just added, if not, I’ve just spoiled it and sound really weird) So I decided to buy and I started to read it, I felt myself going into that phase where I was just reading 1 or 2 pages and putting it straight down.

Then I was watching some Maze Runner interviews and then I was like I really want to try to read this book because when they talking about certain things in the book, I felt a bit stupid not knowing what they were talking about.

I’m pretty sure I stopped reading when I was on page 47, and I started reading it on Saturday and it is now Tuesday, I finished it in those days. Now like I said before, I am not a big fan of reading, so that was a big achievement for me to actually want to read instead of watching TV in my pyjamas, I was reading in my pyjamas and being lazy like I would when watching TV, but the point is I READ A BOOK IN 4 DAYS! I was very pleased with myself and I nearly cried, but because of the story!

Anyway back to reviewing it! Like I said, I saw the film, LOVED IT- love Mr Dylan O’Sexypants, fantastic acting as always.

There was definitely never a dull moment, I would read before I went to bed and I would check the time after a few chapters and realised I read over the time I said I would put it down.

Some similarities I saw was when Thomas was in the lift, it didn’t just skip straight to being in the Glade, Teresa coming through the book and saying Thomas’s name, Thomas running into the Maze.

But there was a lot of things that weren’t in the movie that was in the book- Thomas telling the Gladers about being part of the creation of the maze, the Griever Hole, the Telepathy between Thomas and Teresa, the Grievers only came into the Glade once in the movie but they came in a few times in the book.

I really like how the connection between Thomas and Teresa is shown more in the book than in the movie, because I love romance in a film, and they acted like they were lovers the way Dashner express the way Thomas felt when he wasn’t near her, it makes me all lovey dovey and shit ❤

One scene which stuck out to me the most in both the book and the film is when Chuck jumps in front of Thomas and dies, that was quite emotional and I felt a hint of sadness when reading and watching it. I would find it strange if that scene was done differently because it wouldn’t be original and I felt that bit of originally coming through in the book when remembering the scene from the film in my head, so that was my favourite scene, showing Thomas’s emotions, losing an important person in a very traumatic time, I would feel exactly the same if I lose my best friends, and that’s when the sadness hit, knowing that would be my immediate reaction to someone so important dying (I’m not going to explain what happens because some of you might be reading the book or about to watch the movie.

I also loved that fact that even though Thomas and Teresa were part of the Gladers being put there, they all stuck and worked together to escape and didn’t single them out because they were forced to do something they didn’t want to do. And the fact they put each other before themselves made me re-evaluate life and the way I think about things, so it was kind of inspiring to me and has changed the way I think about life.

Another thing that stuck out to me as well is they are young teenagers, they acted the way an adult would and made very adult decisions when dealing with something so traumatic that affected them but still stayed strong to get out of the Maze and back to what was meant to be home.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of reading or not a fan of reading because it definitely changes you as a person, it has for me anyway.

QOTD- What is your favourite book? I need some books to read, I’ve started the Scorch Trials and I’m loving it already!

OOTD with Boutiquie of Molly

Recently, I was DM’ed by Boutique of Molly  asking if I would like to work with them and first, I looked on their website to see what they were all about, and I said yes!

The style of clothing that they sell is one of my many favourite styles of clothing to wear; very sophisticated and classy.

The pictures of the pieces were my ULIMATE favourites and I just couldn’t resist saying no!

I think for both these pieces because they are plain and simple but can wear to any occasion, they would go with a leather jacket and a pair of black jeans or disco pants or maybe a skirt.

I also think mainly for the white top, my grey coat and a pair of skinny trousers would go really nice with it as it’s a more classy piece.

I am so excited to just plan outfits with these pieces and get loads of pictures with them on, hopefully not spilling any drink down it and having a stain that will never come off.

If any of you are interested in buying any pieces from Boutique of Molly , use my code 35PERC for a discount of 30% of your orders!

My New Hair Do

As you can tell by the title of this post, I got my hair done! Coloured! Jazzed up!

It doesn’t look as blonde in the blonde than in real life, it also has caramel (not the food) running through it as well so it does look slightly darker but I plan on getting it lighter maybe next month.

I am so in love with it! I had the idea for a while now and I definitely do not regret it!

It is the ombre effect a lot of people have been getting but I just took the shots from my eyebrows and downwards to get the full shot of the dyed part in so no it’s not fully blonde, I may do it in the future but I’m certainly not brave enough to do that right now!

It took 2 hours with a lot of foils and heaters on it, but it was so worth it! And I got it done by the hair dresser I have sworn by since I moved to where I currently live! I had ask about prices from other hair dressers who done it and they were expecting between £80 and £100 for what I wanted done, and I only had to pay £70 which is a lot better than what other stylists were asking for. I had my hair coloured, washed, cut and blow dried. A friend from work had the exact same thing as me done and had to pay £95.. NO THANK YOU!

And because I have a different colour in my hair, it needs a lot of products to prevent it from going bad!

IMG_08011

I use the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner for brunettes and it works really nicely on my hair and makes it feel all smooth and fresh so I got the one for blondes and I bought the same brand but the serum to keep my hair from being dry.

I am so excited to try out the wash out dyes in the pastel colours! they look amazing but I will definitely wait until I get my hair lighter and then do it 🙂

Can anyone who has recently dyed their hair blonde give me any good shampoos and conditioners to use that may be better or any other products to use in my hair to keep the colour in my hair?

Lush Haul

IMG_0684.PNGI recently went to Lush and bought a few soaps for my Mum’s friends birthday and I was so tempted to buy myself some as well, the shop was full of amazing smells!

So I decided the next day I’d go in and get some, and maybe I went a little over board with the soaps.

Dirty & Pearl Massage Bar

This is one out of 2 massage bars I got, I bought this one when I was buying for my mum’s friend and it smelt so nice! I have such dry skin so I think this will be perfect so give my skin the moisture it needs.

Roses All The Way

This is one of the soaps that I really wanted to go straight in my basket. It is so pretty, it was part of the Valentine’s day offers even though I never bought it on that day and it wasn’t for that day either.

Sunrise

Sometimes I am really for that citrus smell and sometimes I’m not, but this smell is just amazing! It’s not a harsh smell but it’s not a light smell, it’s just perfect! It’s going to last me a long time considering how much of it there is.

Miranda

This soap is quite similar to Sunrise and there is also so much of it! It has a mix of fruity smells in it and is so colourful.

Respect your Elders

It is such a weird name but I have to say this is the best smelling one out of ALL of them. It is that nice old people smell and I just love smelling it !

Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion

I like trying out new lotions on my skin because on my arms I have chicken skin (keratosis pilaris) and I want to try and calm it down and make it fade a bit and apparently moisturising helps a lot ! So I thought I’d try this out since they are all natural products in Lush.

And that’s my Lush haul!

If any of you have a favourite Lush product, please let me know in the comments below 🙂

New make-up products!

12747663_1519852231643567_816040475_n

I love going to the shop and looking at the latest make-up that is out and also going online and just spend my montly pay on make-up.

Here’s some new make-up products I’m trying out that I bought both online and in store.

L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation (Rose Ivory)- I thought getting a new foundation would be a good move because the current one I have, Max Factor 3 in 1 foundation’, was a bit orange on my skin, it must be the weather because it was perfect for my skin, and also Boots are doing a 3 for 2 on L’Oreal products.

L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette (Light/Medium)- I love using contour kits and I thought this was the perfect size and price (£7.99) for L’Oreal.

L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer-  I really needed a new primer because my MAC primer had ran out and I was using moisturizer which wasn’t giving me the result I wanted from my foundation.

NYX Vinyl Liquid Liner (Black)- I also really needed a new liquid liner and I was using black eyeshadow on an angled brush to replace with eyeliner, also I don’t own any NYX products and I have always want a product from the company.

No7 Flawless Finish Sponges- I love trying new ways to apply my foundation so I thought I’d give these a bash and see if they give me the flawless result I want from my foundation!

La Roche-Posay Hand Repair Cream- I love having nice smooth hands, especially if I go to shake someone’s hand, it’s awkward if you have really dry hands! So I hope this works well like my other hand creams!

QOTD- What product have you bought in this month and is your favourite?
